What’s your sport?

What’s your sport?

Chances are at some point in your life you have been introduced to some sort of sport.  Whether it was your first glove and baseball when you were a child, watching basketball and trying to “shoot” your trash into the trashcan, or joining your first competitive team, sports are a huge part of our culture.  Sports and competition are embedded in our DNA.  But somewhere between birth, adolescence, and adulthood some individuals lose the sight of sports and competition.

Maybe you never joined a competitive team and think you never had a sport, maybe you failed to make the team in high school and think your sport ended then, or maybe you played competitively through college or even professionally, but once that ended you thought your sport was over.  If this is you, revamp your attitude and apply the term ‘sport’ to your life now!

Everyone has a sport.  If you’re a single mom or dad, maybe your sport is raising your child(ren); trying to do so while bettering your career and staying healthy enough to do your hobbies and play with your child(ren).  A corporate executive’s sport may be hustling during the week, and staying healthy and active enough to play pick-up basketball on the weekends.  Maybe your sport is the sport of fitness, whether that’s doing Crossfit, triathlon, or other individual activities like going to the gym, running, cycling, or swimming; all in an effort to stay in the best shape possible.  What it all comes down to is that life is a sport, and health is at the forefront of performing well in all sports.
